Graphic and video content produced for Warm Minds exhibition, Market Gallery featuring Lewis Cook, Jamie McNeill, Rickie McNeill, Callum Monteith and Liam Richardson.
"A multi-faceted investigation encompassing music, video, sculpture and print. Interaction between all elements will occur through an informed experiment using each participant’s research and central themes as a focus for other artists to explore."
Responding to a brief of "80s and 90s tech nostalgia, post-pop psychedelia and prog-animation", I used Adobe After Effects to produce a series of fluorescent motion graphics that evoked the euphoria regularly associated Acid House music movement of the mid-1980s. The animations were played from a tower of television monitors housed within in a styrofoam sculpture, which intermittently released dry ice into the gallery space.
The exhibition also featured a live improvised music performance alongside Cru Servers.
